Halal Community Council is a North America–wide advisory council and trust mark for businesses that serve halal-conscious customers. Every member shares one standard, with two ways to participate: Standard and Premier.

Your First 90 Days As A Member

The first three months are about building a strong base without overwhelming you. Standard and Premier members follow the same overall rhythm, with Premier having the option for deeper conversations at each step.

Welcome, Intake & Standards Charter

Once confirmed, you receive your welcome pack, digital badge assets, and a short intake form about your operations, locations, and current approach to halal-conscious guests. You also review and affirm the HCC Standards Charter.

Week 2–4

Digital Trust & Growth Review

We perform your digital trust review and send you a Halal-Conscious Growth Brief, summarizing what we see and which changes matter most. Premier members may schedule a short call to walk through the brief.

Trust Materials & Review Flow

Your physical display materials are finalized and sent, and we help you choose simple, respectful ways to invite feedback from halal-conscious customers – including review cards, signage, or scripts for staff.

Initial Strategy Touchpoint

We schedule your first strategy call, focusing on the next three to six months. Premier members may extend this time to explore more detailed plans around Ramadan, peak seasons, or travel partnerships.

After 90 Days: The Yearly Rhythm

Once the foundations are in place, your membership settles into a steady rhythm. The focus is not constant reinvention, but quiet refinement and clear guidance when you need it.

  • A commitment to act on at least some of the guidance you receive, not simply file it away.
  • For Premier: active participation in strategy calls and trainings where you can.

This step helps us understand what you offer, how you make decisions around halal, and where you are still figuring things out. We are looking for honesty, not perfection.

If you are in-progress or unsure on anything, it is okay to say that directly.

Fit, needs, and expectations

This step is about whether we are the right council for you, how involved you want us to be, and what a “good year together” would look like from your side.

Clear expectations at the beginning help us serve you better and avoid surprises later.

Step 4 of 4

Confirm your membership and activate your first year

On this step you choose your membership, confirm the billing contact, and complete payment for your first year. Your application is reviewed carefully, and your status is set to “Active – Pending Full Review” while we do that work.

If we later decide we are not the right fit for your situation, or if you change your mind, we offer a no-questions-asked refund within 30 days of payment.

  • We complete our checks, then confirm your status or contact you if something is not a match.
